Cancellation and Refund Policy

Pandit aditya JiByPandit Aditya Ji Posted onJuly 13, 2026July 13, 2026 Updated onJuly 13, 2026

Last updated: 13 July 2026

This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the rules that apply when a user cancels, changes or cannot attend a ceremony booked through AryaSamajPandit.com.

Please read this policy before confirming a booking or making any payment.

By paying a booking advance or confirming a service, you acknowledge and accept the cancellation, rescheduling and refund conditions communicated for that booking.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to bookings and payments made for services arranged through AryaSamajPandit.com, including:

  • Arya Samaj marriage ceremonies
  • Vedic Havan
  • Shanti Havan
  • Griha Pravesha
  • Bhoomi Pujan
  • Sanskars
  • Jap and mantra ceremonies
  • Antyeshti and urgent rituals
  • Pandit travel arrangements
  • Samagri arrangements
  • Other religious or ceremonial services

Some services may carry special cancellation conditions because of urgency, travel, purchased materials or reserved time. We will communicate any special condition before confirmation whenever reasonably possible.

2. Booking Confirmation

Submitting an enquiry does not confirm a booking.

A booking becomes confirmed only when:

  • We accept the ceremony details;
  • A suitable Pandit confirms availability;
  • We communicate the applicable charges;
  • You pay the required advance, where applicable; and
  • You receive confirmation through WhatsApp, email, SMS or another authorised channel.

Until these steps take place, we may treat the request as an unconfirmed enquiry.

3. Booking Advance

We may require an advance payment to reserve the Pandit, date and time.

The advance may cover:

  • Reservation of the Pandit’s time
  • Booking coordination
  • Administrative work
  • Travel preparation
  • Purchase or preparation of samagri
  • Blocking the selected date
  • Communication and ceremony planning

The advance amount may differ according to the service, city, date, urgency and travel requirements.

We will inform you whether the advance remains fully refundable, partially refundable or non-refundable before payment.

4. Cancellation by the User

You may request cancellation through the official phone number, WhatsApp account or email used for the booking.

A cancellation becomes effective only after we acknowledge it.

The refund amount will depend on:

  • How early you cancel;
  • Whether the Pandit has reserved the date;
  • Whether samagri has already been purchased;
  • Whether travel tickets or accommodation have been booked;
  • Whether third-party charges have been incurred;
  • Whether the service involves urgent or same-day arrangements; and
  • Any special terms communicated during confirmation.

5. Standard Cancellation Schedule

Unless we communicate different terms for a particular booking, the following standard policy may apply.

Cancellation More Than 7 Days Before the Ceremony

You may receive a refund of the amount paid after deducting:

  • Payment-gateway charges;
  • Administrative or booking charges;
  • Non-refundable travel costs;
  • Samagri already purchased; and
  • Any other actual expense incurred for the booking.

Cancellation Between 72 Hours and 7 Days Before the Ceremony

You may receive a partial refund after deductions.

We may retain up to [insert percentage, such as 25% or 30%] of the agreed service amount, along with any actual non-refundable expenses.

Cancellation Between 24 and 72 Hours Before the Ceremony

The booking advance may become non-refundable.

When you have paid more than the advance, we may refund the balance after deducting:

  • The booking advance;
  • Purchased samagri;
  • Travel costs;
  • Payment charges; and
  • Other expenses already incurred.

Cancellation Less Than 24 Hours Before the Ceremony

Payments may become non-refundable because the Pandit has reserved the date and may not have a reasonable opportunity to accept another booking.

We may still review exceptional cases individually.

Same-Day Cancellation

Same-day cancellations generally do not qualify for a refund.

This includes cancellation after the Pandit has:

  • Started travelling;
  • Reached the venue;
  • Purchased samagri;
  • Declined another booking; or
  • Begun ceremony preparation.

6. User No-Show

We will treat the booking as a no-show when:

  • The user does not attend;
  • The venue remains closed;
  • The user does not answer calls;
  • The address remains incorrect or inaccessible;
  • The user refuses entry to the Pandit;
  • The ceremony cannot begin because of the user’s failure to prepare; or
  • The user does not inform us about cancellation.

No-show bookings generally do not qualify for a refund.

The user may also need to pay outstanding travel, waiting or samagri costs.

7. Late Arrival by the User

The user must ensure that the family, venue and required arrangements remain ready at the confirmed time.

When the user causes a delay:

  • The Pandit may wait for a reasonable period;
  • Additional waiting charges may apply;
  • The Pandit may shorten the ceremony;
  • The ceremony may need rescheduling; or
  • The Pandit may leave when another confirmed booking follows.

A user-caused delay does not automatically create a right to a full or partial refund.

8. Rescheduling by the User

You may request a change to the date, time or venue.

Rescheduling remains subject to:

  • Pandit availability;
  • Travel feasibility;
  • Venue access;
  • Ceremony type; and
  • Notice provided before the original booking.

First Rescheduling Request

We may allow one rescheduling request without an additional coordination fee when:

  • You inform us sufficiently early;
  • The same Pandit remains available;
  • The new venue does not increase travel;
  • No additional cost arises; and
  • The ceremony takes place within [30/60/90] days of the original date.

Late or Repeated Rescheduling

Additional charges may apply when:

  • You request a change within 72 hours;
  • You change the date more than once;
  • A different Pandit becomes necessary;
  • The new venue increases travel;
  • New samagri must be arranged;
  • Tickets or accommodation require modification; or
  • The change causes another actual expense.

When we cannot accommodate the new date, we may treat the request as a cancellation under the applicable cancellation schedule.

9. Change of Ceremony or Service

Changing the ritual after confirmation may affect:

  • Duration;
  • Pandit requirement;
  • Samagri;
  • Charges;
  • Travel;
  • Venue arrangements; and
  • Availability.

For example, changing a short Havan booking into a complete marriage or Griha Pravesha ceremony may require a new quotation.

When the new service costs more, the user must pay the difference.

When the new service costs less, any refund will depend on the work, materials and reservation already committed to the original service.

10. Cancellation by AryaSamajPandit.com or the Pandit

A confirmed booking may sometimes require cancellation because of:

  • Pandit illness;
  • Family emergency;
  • Accident;
  • Severe weather;
  • Transport disruption;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Venue closure;
  • Safety concerns;
  • Natural disaster;
  • Civil disturbance; or
  • Another unavoidable situation.

In such cases, we may offer one or more of the following:

  • A replacement Pandit;
  • A different time on the same date;
  • A new ceremony date;
  • An alternative ceremony arrangement; or
  • A refund of the eligible amount.

When we cannot provide a replacement or suitable rescheduling option, we will generally refund the amount received for the undelivered service.

We may deduct only those third-party or material costs that cannot reasonably be recovered, when applicable and clearly communicated.

11. Replacement Pandit

Pandit assignments may change because of illness, emergency, travel or scheduling issues.

When possible, we may arrange another qualified or suitable Pandit for the confirmed ceremony.

A change of Pandit does not automatically entitle the user to a refund when:

  • The replacement can provide the agreed service;
  • The ceremony date, time and venue remain unchanged;
  • The language requirement remains reasonably satisfied; and
  • The service scope remains materially the same.

When the user specifically booked a named Pandit and refuses a suitable replacement, we will review the refund according to the booking terms and expenses already incurred.

12. Samagri Charges

Samagri charges may become non-refundable once the materials have been:

  • Purchased;
  • Packed;
  • Prepared;
  • Customised;
  • Transported; or
  • Delivered to the venue.

Perishable items such as flowers, fruits, milk products, food and prasad ingredients generally cannot be returned.

When cancellation occurs before we purchase or prepare samagri, we will not deduct samagri charges unless another actual cost applies.

The user may request the purchased samagri, where practical, after paying any delivery or collection cost.

13. Travel, Tickets and Accommodation

Some bookings require the Pandit to travel outside the normal service area.

The user may need to pay for:

  • Fuel;
  • Taxi;
  • Toll;
  • Parking;
  • Train or flight tickets;
  • Local transport;
  • Hotel accommodation; or
  • Other approved travel expenses.

Non-refundable tickets, hotel reservations and other travel costs will not qualify for a refund when the user cancels or reschedules the ceremony.

When we cancel the booking, we will review such costs according to the circumstances and responsibility for the cancellation.

14. Urgent and Same-Day Bookings

Urgent services may include:

  • Antyeshti Sanskar;
  • Funeral-related rituals;
  • Same-day Havan;
  • Last-minute marriage ceremonies;
  • Immediate hospital or family prayer;
  • Short-notice travel; and
  • Emergency Pandit arrangements.

Urgent and same-day booking advances generally remain non-refundable once the Pandit accepts the assignment or begins preparation.

We will communicate the applicable terms before payment whenever the urgency allows.

15. Marriage Ceremony Cancellation

Arya Samaj marriage bookings may involve additional planning, documents, witnesses, venue arrangements and Pandit reservations.

When a marriage ceremony gets cancelled because:

  • One party withdraws consent;
  • Documents remain incomplete;
  • A party provides incorrect information;
  • Age or marital-status requirements remain unmet;
  • A legal objection arises;
  • The couple does not attend;
  • Family disagreement prevents the ceremony; or
  • The venue refuses permission,

the booking advance may remain non-refundable.

Religious ceremony charges do not automatically include government marriage registration, legal documentation, court fees or registrar charges unless we clearly include them in writing.

Any government or third-party fee will follow the refund rules of the relevant authority or provider.

16. Venue Restrictions

The user must confirm that the venue permits the planned ceremony.

This includes permission for:

  • Havan;
  • Open flame;
  • Smoke;
  • Religious ceremonies;
  • Guests;
  • Sound equipment;
  • Photography; and
  • Use of common areas.

When a hotel, society, office, hospital or property owner stops the ceremony because the user failed to obtain permission, the booking may not qualify for a refund.

The Pandit may modify or stop a ceremony when the venue creates a genuine fire, health or safety risk.

17. Weather and Force Majeure

A ceremony may face delay, modification, rescheduling or cancellation because of events outside reasonable control, including:

  • Flood;
  • Heavy rain;
  • Storm;
  • Earthquake;
  • Fire;
  • Epidemic;
  • Government order;
  • Transport shutdown;
  • Strike;
  • Curfew;
  • Civil unrest;
  • Road closure; or
  • Another extraordinary event.

We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide an alternative.

Refund eligibility will depend on:

  • Whether the service can be rescheduled;
  • Costs already incurred;
  • Travel or materials purchased;
  • Third-party terms; and
  • Applicable law.

18. Unsatisfactory Service Complaints

A user who believes that the agreed service was not delivered properly should contact us within 7 days of the ceremony.

The complaint should include:

  • Name and contact number;
  • Booking reference;
  • Ceremony date;
  • Venue;
  • Amount paid;
  • Clear description of the problem;
  • Relevant messages or receipts; and
  • Any supporting photographs or evidence.

We may:

  • Speak with the user;
  • Review booking communications;
  • Contact the Pandit;
  • Verify the agreed service scope;
  • Offer clarification;
  • Provide a partial refund;
  • Offer a future service credit; or
  • Take another reasonable corrective step.

Personal dissatisfaction, a difference in ritual style or unmet spiritual expectations does not automatically create a right to a refund when the Pandit delivered the agreed ceremony.

19. No Refund for Spiritual Outcomes

Religious and Vedic ceremonies provide spiritual, cultural and family value.

We do not provide refunds merely because a user did not experience an expected outcome, including:

  • Medical recovery;
  • Financial growth;
  • Business success;
  • Examination success;
  • Marriage improvement;
  • Pregnancy;
  • Property approval;
  • Resolution of a family dispute;
  • Removal of personal difficulties; or
  • Any other predicted result.

No Pandit or ceremony can responsibly guarantee a specific future outcome.

A refund may apply only when the agreed service was cancelled, materially not delivered or otherwise qualifies under this policy and applicable law.

20. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

Contact us promptly when you:

  • Pay twice;
  • Enter an incorrect amount;
  • Pay for a cancelled enquiry;
  • Send payment to an official account by mistake; or
  • Do not receive payment confirmation.

After verification, we will refund any confirmed excess payment.

We may deduct a payment-gateway or banking charge only when such a charge genuinely applies and the law permits it.

21. Failed Payment Transactions

A failed payment may temporarily appear as debited from the user’s account.

Banks, UPI providers and payment gateways usually process automatic reversals according to their own timelines.

When the amount reaches us despite a failed status, contact us with:

  • Transaction reference;
  • Payment date;
  • Amount;
  • Payment method; and
  • Screenshot or bank confirmation.

We will verify the transaction and process the appropriate booking confirmation or refund.

22. Refund Method

We generally return approved refunds through the original payment method.

Depending on the circumstances, the refund may go through:

  • UPI;
  • Bank transfer;
  • Payment gateway;
  • Card reversal; or
  • Another mutually agreed method.

For security, we may ask for limited payment details required to process the refund.

We will never ask for:

  • UPI PIN;
  • ATM PIN;
  • Card PIN;
  • Banking password; or
  • One-time password.

23. Refund Processing Time

We aim to initiate an approved refund within 7 to 10 business days after completing verification.

The bank, card issuer, payment gateway or UPI provider may require additional time to credit the amount.

Delays may occur because of:

  • Bank holidays;
  • Incorrect account information;
  • Payment-provider processing;
  • Technical errors;
  • Disputed transactions; or
  • Additional verification.

Contact us when an approved refund does not appear after the communicated processing period.

24. Service Credits

In some cases, we may offer a service credit instead of a cash refund.

A service credit may:

  • Apply to a future ceremony;
  • Carry an expiry date;
  • Remain non-transferable;
  • Exclude travel or samagri;
  • Require advance booking; and
  • Depend on Pandit availability.

We will not replace a legally required monetary refund with a service credit without the user’s agreement.

25. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Before raising a chargeback or payment dispute, contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to review the concern.

Submitting a false chargeback after receiving the agreed service may lead to:

  • Recovery action;
  • Suspension of future bookings;
  • Submission of booking evidence to the payment provider; or
  • Other remedies available under law.

This clause does not prevent users from raising a genuine dispute or exercising their legal rights.

26. Refund Request Process

To request a cancellation or refund, contact:

Website: AryaSamajPandit.com
Email: [Insert official email]
Phone or WhatsApp: [Insert official number]

  • Booking reference;
  • Ceremony name;
  • Date and venue;
  • Amount paid;

  • Preferred refund details, where required.

We may request additional information to verify the payment and booking.

27. Grievance Escalation

When you remain dissatisfied after contacting customer support, you may write to:

Grievance officer or representative: Aditya Arya
Email: [email protected]
Phone: 8595764528
Address: Arya Samaj Mandir, Surajpur Greater Noida, UP

Use the subject line “Refund Grievance – [Booking Reference]”.

We will review the complaint and respond within the period required by applicable law or the internal period stated by us.

28. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cancellation and Refund Policy when:

  • Our booking system changes;
  • Payment methods change;
  • Service areas change;
  • Operational requirements change; or
  • Applicable legal requirements change.

The updated version will appear on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

The policy in effect when you confirm the booking will generally apply to that booking unless applicable law requires otherwise.

29. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy removes any right or remedy that a consumer holds under applicable law.

When a part of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the applicable legal requirement will prevail.

30. Acceptance of This Policy

By confirming a booking or making a payment through AryaSamajPandit.com, you confirm that you have read and accepted this Cancellation and Refund Policy.

You also confirm that you have reviewed:

  • The ceremony details;
  • Total charges;
  • Advance amount;
  • Samagri arrangements;
  • Travel costs;
  • Cancellation conditions; and
  • Rescheduling terms.
